I have a lovely story, a few weeks ago I rescued a hawk! I found it on the side of the road and called a bunch of people to ask "how do I rescue a hawk" and I brought it to a rehabilitation center. I just got a postcard that it's doing great!! I am so happy!!
It was part of a brood of 4 babies that fledged too early. The other 3 have been living in my yard at least part time and getting lessons about how to be a hawk from the adults. I have seen them flying around, they are seriously eating up my snake population, wish they would eat the groundhogs instead...They make some serious screeching that has actually become endearing.
