I needed some underwater imagery to round out all the land dwellers currently in my linocut collection. I’ve been wanting to make a huge cichlid woodcut for years about all the different ecological niches that cichlids inhabit in Africa. I haven’t made the biggie yet but this linocut is fun to embellish because the fish have such a wide array of colors and patterns. They are beauties.
