I love alligators. Once I was walking on my usual path in upstate, NY and saw a pipe coming out of the water that looked like an alligator head and perched atop it were 2 turtles. 

Gators want to get away from humans and generally do not approach unless threatened. I am not quite sure what a gator would do with 3 turtles perching along it's scutes and scales but, my guess is it would not do much, until it felt like moving. The 3 kinds of turtles that are on this gators back are Alligator Snappers, Diamondback Terrapins and the Spiny Softshell.
