Dodo’s are perhaps one of the most well known extinct birds. But alongside dodo’s on the island of Mauritius lived a magnificent blue pigeon that are also extinct. Not much is known about this species, but they also look like a fantasy character out of Alice in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll could have used them as a muse.
