This piece is about Eugene in his English garden surrounded by all the birds mentioned in Shakespeare's plays.

The other two invasive US birds in this woodcut are Mute Swans and European Sparrows. Mute swans were intentionally introduced to the United States for display as decorative waterfowl in public parks and private estates. Sparrows may also have been a gift from Mr. Scheffelin.

The parrot and ostrich never became an invasive animal, although there is a large feral population of parrots in Florida, it is not the fault of Eugene.

The edition size of these pieces is really slim. I am selling 4 gray birdies (on the bottom) and 2 red ones. I did some experimenting on this piece and messed up a bunch of prints. OOPS---I guess that goes with the color reduction woodcut aspect of my artwork.
