One chilean flamingo escaped from an aviary. The bird found a suitable habitat in Saltair, Utah and is affectionately named, “Pink Floyd.”
Jim Platt a Utah native has made it his mission to try and bring Floyd friends. He proposed that the Great Salt Lake becomes a flamingo sanctuary. Poor Floyd, living all by himself on a large salty lake.
He even has the support of 200 second graders in the area. it is probably not a good idea to give Floyd friends, as lonely as he may be, look what happened with the starling...
